MAN IN HIS THOUGHT (2024)
Available
48" × 72"

Man in His Thought captures the complex nature of human consciousness and the mind's inner workings (an exploration of what it means to be human). The man here is God-fearing, and his perception and reactions to the real world are often guided by his conscience, choices, beliefs, emotions, ethics, and morals. Although his thoughts are all over the place, his face expresses little to nothing about his overwhelming thoughts and emotions. A man's thought precedes his actions and interaction with the world. He meditates on ethical dilemmas (the sense of right and wrong) while examining how his actions impact others. By analyzing past experiences, humans understand themselves, interact with others and society, and plan for the future.
A Man in His Thought is portrayed as someone who believes in God (the All-father) and seeks the omnipotent for guidance, provision, and protection. He appreciates the divinity of life, engages in spiritual/religious reflections as a personal responsibility, and tries to give life meaning and find his place in the universe. Many people often engage in thoughts that transcend the physical world
- exploring the metaphysical and existential questions when trying to find their purpose or give meaning to life. More so, a man in his Thought cares about the well-being of his family. Hence, he voluntarily takes responsibility for providing (financially, emotionally, and security) for his family and keeps them united. Symbolic elements and their meanings include:
